The Story of a Village School by Muriel Sobo
The story of a Village school is the history of Ponteland First School produced by local historian Muriel Sobo.
It is full of photographs, anecdotes and stories of its 93 year history from 1914 - 2007.
The Book costs £6 from the First School office or the Parish Office or £7 by post from Muriel Sobo on 01661 871969

Proceeds from the book will go the school PTA.

This excellent collection of over 200 old photographs of Ponteland allows us a fascinating glimpse at people, places and events in and around Ponteland over the last 100 years or so.

Ponteland Cricket Club History 1880 - 2005
To celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the founding of the cricket club, Ponteland Cricket Club has written the history of cricket in Ponteland. Starting in 1880 this 110 page booklet covers the development of the Club through to the end of the 2005 season and includes the Fosters Cup win against Ashington.
Featuring many never seen before photographs we hope that this story of cricket in Ponteland will be of interest to cricket lovers irrespective of if they played for the Club or not, as it follows the story of the Club through the stories told by those involved.
Available to buy for just £10.00 (English). An additional £1.00 postage is required for postal orders outside of the Ponteland area.
