CARE Ponteland
CARE is a charitable organisation that, for over forty years, has provided support services to enable people with learning disabilities to live as independently as possible at the heart of the community.
We are all about people… and a vision of a world that welcomes inclusion for all. And at the heart of an inclusive future is the right to make informed choices. Where people may previously have been excluded or found it hard to turn their hopes and dreams to reality through a lack of understanding, we aim to offer the appropriate assistance to overcome these barriers and to help them to achieve their goals.
Here in Ponteland, we provide a wide range of services, including a variety of residential and domiciliary options, vocational and life-skills training and supported employment. We also run a wonderful eatery – Hadrian’s Café – that is truly Ponteland’s best kept secret! Visit for some real home-cooked food, and then browse through the arts and crafts items that we offer for sale.
And don’t forget our wonderful range of plants when you are restocking your garden. By purchasing from CARE, you will be helping us to continue to maintain and progress our valuable services for local people with learning disabilities.
We all need assistance from time to time to help us to succeed. People with a learning disability are no different. CARE’s objective remains constant in maximising independence and inclusion and we continue to review and expand the range of services available to give everyone increased choice and greater opportunities in their lives
