The Club was founded in 1923. It is owned by the members and run by a committee elected annually. We are pleasantly located close to Ponteland Village centre.
A new Clubhouse was built in 2002 and extended in 2009 to provide excellent facilities for both members and visitors. The bowling green is maintained to a very high standard and is considered to be one of the best in Northumberland.
The Club aims to serve the bowling needs of the local community. Currently there is no waiting list for either the Men's or Ladies' sections, so the Club is in the position to offer immediate membership to anyone who is interested. We are particularly keen to attract a younger element to create a more balanced age profile. It is hoped that this will help to promote the game of bowls in the local area and ensure the Club will continue to flourish in the years to come.
