Village Flower Show 2008

Visit the Parish Flower Show Mini web site.

A triumph of talent and determination over appalling weather! That’s one way to describe this year’s well-supported show in the Memorial Hall with entries from all ages. The children’s section was fascinating, the photographs were stunning; the vegetables and flowers took a hammering in the weather that brought floods to the village but were still remarkable. The cooks, the artists, the flower arrangers and many creative talents were all displayed to delight the eye. The show committee worked hard to put on such a feast of colour and variety, the entrants worked with skill and sometimes for long periods to finish their exhibits and the local residents turned out in numbers to enjoy a great village event.
